Before starting my career path in insurance, I was enrolled at Grant MacEwan in the Correctional Services Program. Part way through, I discovered that the career opportunities were very limited in this field, and there were barriers for female employees. I decided to leave college in pursuit of another career that had more promising career opportunities. Having talked to many friends with successful careers in the insurance industry, I was quickly convinced that this was the career path that I had been looking for. Before getting hired in insurance, I wrote the first licensing exam, and I started to feel apprehensive that my friends had exaggerated how fulfilling their career paths in insurance were --- it just sounded WAY too good to be true! Thankfully, I soon discovered I was wrong after being hired by the Treasures family to work at Grey Power Insurance. Like my friends, I enjoyed my work and felt passionate and fulfilled in my career… a decade later, and I have been hooked ever since!
Insurance is a rewarding career path for me because I achieve great satisfaction in watching small businesses grow, and knowing that I had a part in protecting their dreams and investments. Furthermore, I take great pride in being a part of a top-notch team environment with my work family. I offer a chipper, courteous, and meticulous personality to my clients, and they appreciate my fine-tined attention to detail, organizational skills, and love for problem solving.
