Phoenix Group Risk Management Inc. has now officially changed its name to Excel Insurance & Risk Management.
A new name, an exciting new chapter for our firm and a re-energized team -- all strongly supported by the fundamentals that helped make Phoenix Group one of the leading brokerages in Canada. Most importantly for our clients, team members and insurance partners, the key strengths of our firm remain solidly in place:
- Service depth and expertise - 100% of our team of insurance and risk management professionals have continued with Excel. No staffing changes have occurred and none are contemplated.
- Market strength - Our access to the largest industrial and commercial insurers in Canada, long-term market relationships and preferred broker status with key insurers continues unchanged with Excel Insurance & Risk Management.
- Independent ownership - As with Phoenix Group Risk Management, the principals of Excel continue to be Douglas Morrow and Kevan Letourneau.
- International capabilities - We are very proud of our continued partnership in Assurex Global, the world's largest independent broker network having more than 500 partner offices spanning 80 countries across six continents.
As we move forward, the Excel team is actively exploring new and better ways to communicate, deliver service and bring value to our clients. Of course, this includes seeking the best ways to support our clients via the new Excel website now being created.
